Last updated: 16 June 2026. Brax is a surgical case logbook created by Dr. Fiifi Brakatu for surgeons and trainees. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. This is a starting template — have it reviewed by a lawyer before you rely on it.
Brax ("we", "the app") is operated by Dr. Fiifi Brakatu. Contact: [your contact email].
Account, logbook and imaging data are stored in our cloud database and file storage (Supabase) protected by row-level security, so you can only see your own data — except where you explicitly share with a supervisor, or where a case contributes a de-identified summary (no patient name, folder, images or your name) to the national registry. Large files may also be kept on your own device.
To provide the logbook, back up and sync your cases, generate your statistics and exam exports, enable supervisor oversight you opt into, aggregate de-identified national/hospital numbers, and process subscriptions. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
We share data only with service providers that run the app (Supabase for hosting/storage; Paystack for payments) and only as needed to operate it; with a supervisor when you choose to share your logbook; and if required by law.
Brax is a record-keeping tool for clinicians. You remain responsible for handling patient information lawfully under Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) and your institution's rules, including de-identifying images before sharing or export. Brax is not a medical device and does not provide diagnosis or treatment.
You can access, correct, export or delete your data from within the app or by contacting us. We keep your data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward, then delete or fully de-identify it.
We use access controls and encryption in transit. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong password and de-identify images.
We'll update this page and the date above when this policy changes.
